Car donations - can we do it online? Before we make up our mind choosing any charity body out there, we need to check whether they accept our car or not. Because there are many organizations out there, it is best for us to check their terms and conditions first. Donating a car is a very simple process, and can be quite rewarding too. Strangely, when it comes to giving our things for free, we feel reluctant. Yup, we deserve a tax deduction when we donate our old or used car to the charity. According to the new rule, the amount of tax deduction we can claimed now is limited to gross proceeds of the auction (or sale) for that car. Previously, car donor's can claim up to the car's fair market value on their tax returns. Our chosen charity would then send us the paperwork, and the amount stated is the amount where we can deduct from our tax.

There also a limit when we want to claim a higher tax cut. For vehicle that worth $500 and more, we need to enclosed proper written acknowledgment from our charity of choice. Plus, to be elligible for the tax deduction from our car donation, we need to itemize our car sale (get the receipt) and attached our written acknowledgment together~

Car Donations in Nampa: Jalopy Jungle Free Pickup

Jalopy Jungle for the third consecutive year is offering residence in Ada and Canyon County Homes a free pickup for any unwanted cars and trucks~

Starting this Monday, March 15th through the month of April, for each car and trucks they received, $50 will be donated to the nearest Boys and Girls club. Donation is made as a sign of appreciation for all their hard work helping Treasure Valley for years, as well as to show the sincere gesture and recognition for the Boys and Girls Club in Nampa. Together, this community service is done with one purpose, to give help to the charity for a good cause.
